We are pleased to announce the second round of Orientation Sessions for Alabama Quality STARS.
Participation in Orientation Sessions are limited to licensed centers and centers that cannot be licensed by the Alabama Department of Human Resources (e.g., military, public school, Alabama Community College System and university, Tribal, etc.).
All interested center directors are invited to register for one of 14 Orientation Sessions that will be held in multiple locations throughout the state. An Orientation Session must be attended if your center plans to apply for participation in Alabama Quality STARS. Please see the Orientation Session Schedule below.
If a center director participated in one of the Alabama Quality STARS Orientation Sessions held in 2016, he or she is required to attend an updated session in order to participate in Alabama Quality STARS. The PAS, ECERS-R, and ITERS-R books that were given in 2016 should be brought to the updated Orientation Session.
Registration to attend an Orientation Session is limited to the center director (the person responsible for daily operations of the program) and one guest. If your center has someone other than the center director who is the ultimate decision maker (e.g., an administrator or owner), then this person should accompany the center director. You are encouraged to register for an Orientation Session as soon as possible, as seating is limited to 50 participants per session. Registration occurs on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you would like to register or have any questions, please call the Alabama Quality STARS office at 1-844-883-STAR or 1-205-348-1315. After registering by phone, you will receive a confirmation email or letter. We look forward to seeing you at an Orientation Session soon.
