Renewing requires applying for a new Alabama Quality STARS Assessment

  • If you have forgotten your password, you can click on the “Request One-Time Log-In Code link” to receive a code in your email to log in with.

  • Please make sure to update your password under “My Profile” when you login to the dashboard.

Click on the “QRIS” tab and select the “+ Request” button.

  • A small form that asks for location should come up. Click on the name of your location on the “Location” area.

  • Even if it automatically shows the name of your location, you must click on the name of the location to trigger the next step.

  • Go to “Type” and select the following:

  • If your license begins with “L” is an Exempt “Excepted” program, select Day Care Centers- Assessment
    If your license begins with “F”, select Family Daycare Home-Assessment
    If your license begins with “G”, select “Group Daycare Home-Assessment

  • If the type says “No Data Available,” please go back and make sure you click in the box with the name of your location to fully select it.

  • Click “Create” and fill out and submit the application.*

*There is currently a bug in our system that shows an error message when an application is submitted. The application does actually come through, so you do not have to submit another application. However, you can always contact and confirm with us before moving forward.

Once you submit your application, it will go to DHR for review. Once DHR reviews the application, they will send the report back and a specialist will be assigned to you. They will reach out to set up an assessment date.
